Where it all began for Michael
When just 15 years of age Michael Cox went to North West Funerals located in Mildura for work experience. At the end of his first day Michael wasn't particularly keen on the idea of going back the next day! However, Michael's Mum insisted that he did as he should honour the commitment he made. Michael was pleased that he did and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of his week where his duties included washing cars and assisting Funeral Directors with their duties. It was a decision that was to change the future direction of his life!
He joined Tobin Brothers in a casual role as a Funeral Director's Assistant whilst continuing his studies as an Embalmer. In 2007 Michael was appointed to a full time role as an Embalmer.
Michael’s dream has been to provide a lower cost funeral service to the public without sacrificing quality.
Michael is well respected amongst the community in which he serves, his ability to relate, guide and understand the needs of the families he meets is a gift that just comes naturally to him. His passion and dedication to the funeral industry has brought Melbourne Cremation Service from an idea to the successful company it is today. Michael’s keen eye for detail ensures every funeral arrangement and service is nothing less than 100% and is conducted in accordance to your wishes. Michael encourages you to give him a call and talk through various options that may appeal to you.
